Is raw food expensive?
For a raw diet to offer the greatest possible nutritional benefits, every ingredient should be of the highest quality. These high-quality ingredients typically come with a higher price tag. However, as with humans, you can’t put a price on your best friend’s health and with food, you really do get what you pay for.
While the cost of raw food may be higher than some of the cheapest types of kibble on the market, it can be competitively priced. When considering the benefits that raw food can bring to cats’ and dogs’ health, as well as how much they enjoy it, the benefits often outweigh the financial cost of raw feeding.
